New year, new changes

Good morning, 2012!

I made a habit to write here on my blog at every year end and looking over those posts I realise that each is shorter than the previous. Will it apply to the current one as well? Let's see..

I don't know how to start, don't know what to write about. 2011 was a good year, mainly, but nothing worth mentioning, nothing extraordinary, nothing that might have dramatically changed my life. Same simple wishes, same events, slight variations. I could even say that the passing of years has become some kind of routine. Which sounds extremely sad. I'm standing here, trying to remember an event truly worth mentioning: nothing. Or maybe I just don't find them notable, have no idea.

At the beginning of the new year, I feel I don't know much about myself, about life, about what I truly want. But I'm trying to look ahead, with optimism: I'll learn. In 2012 I'll learn and discover more things that I learned and discovered over the last 21 years of my life. Most important, I'll learn to value more the simple moments, people and places.

I have avoided setting important goals for the new year, for fear of being disappointed when they don't come to life in the end. But I couldn't help writing down a few little things I want. I only have to make them happen now. Sounds easy :)

I wish everyone that still reads this dusty blog a spectacular new year, may all our wishes come true and be surrounded only by good things and good people. ♥

Vartop 2011

I recently spent 3 amazing days at Vartop (a beautiful ski resort in Romania, Apuseni Mountains, located near Arieseni), where I discovered a passion for snowboarding. Although my knees are devastated, I am still looking forward to do it again! It was incredibly fun and we were lucky to have an awesome weather. Not even mentioning the spectacular views (especially from the top of the track; it's definitely worth it to take the 'telechair' - is that how it's called?! - for a ride. I recommend an evening ride - breathtaking panoramas with mountains covered in mist and the sun setting somewhere in the far horizon - and also a morning ride, to admire the beauty of the surroundings) :)

Invog Fashion Show

Last night I attended a fashion show in Timisoara, at 'Le Cinema' club (actually, Mishuella asked me to go with her - she knew one of the designers - and I couldn't say no :) ). There were about 8 local designers and a LOT of models presenting the collections, and the whole eveniment was also charitable, raising funds for kids without home. You can check out more here.

Enough with the introduction :) At first I felt a bit uncomfortable (I've never been to a similar event before, so I was curious and excited, but still I felt quite awkward among all those fancy people), but then I started to really enjoy it. I took some photos (can't compare with the other photographers', most of them had flashes and wide lenses, I had my old 450D with the built-in flash and 50mm f1.8 - not the best fit for such an event). However, even if the quality is not shining (high ISO), I love how some of the photos came out, mostly for the lighting. The lights were great, a great opportunity to experiment and try different angles. It was quite challenging to wait for the model to be in the right spot and light. It really made me want to experiment more with lighting. And also to purchase a flash. :))

And I also took some backstage photos. :) Remember I mentioned that Mishuella knows one of the designers? Well, her name is Kope Medea and her collection was inspired from the '20s. I love her work, it was my favourite from last night and I photographed some of her models. The intention was to see the hairstyle and full dress as well, however I couldn't do that with my 50mm and I also had only one reflector (that I couldn't move and play with) to use as lighting, so I'm officially sorry if they're not as expected. :)

It's always the same

I haven't been rambling about my school projects too much around here, perhaps it's about time I start doing it. :)

I had a short 4-days project, a holiday cabin in a mountain resort, for one family, on a quite small but suficient lot. I read the theme, looked at the lot and its surroundings and I had an idea right away. It was probably the first project theme I really enjoyed and I was content with my thoughts and ideas, eager to start putting everything on paper.

Guess what happened? Knowing I had a solution I thought was good made me think it won't take me a lot of time to have it all drawn beautifully. Well, as you already suppose, that didn't happen. I wasted my time shamelessly the first 2 days, only looking for examples similar to what I had in mind, and when I trully began to put all the puzzle pieces together, I realised there were issues I didn't think of at first, some of them quite important. Funny, this happens at every freakin' project!

I found myself last night not knowing how to address certain problems in my project, trying to improvise something that might work, having no one experienced to talk to and ask for a good opinion, all this and the deadline tonight.

The end is predictable, isn't it? Between the safe way and the way I wanted to realise the project from the very beginning, I took a risk and chose the last. Had to improvise some details, tried to figure out how would they work. The results are, of course, a bit different from what I had in mind. What I imagined to be a cosy, small, neat, elegant cabin, turned out to be quite ... massive on one facade. Sure, this isn't the only problem. Besides some structural I-really-have-no-idea-how-they-look-like details and some poorly placed windows, the drawing came out quite dull. The perspectives (which were the only pieces I really liked from the whole paper), are too small (didn't share the space properly on the page). Stayed up almost all night, had Mishuella to help me with the drawing and still didn't manage to have it all how I wanted.

All in all, it's certainly not a project I'm truly proud of. I'm sure I could've improved it if.. I had more time. Or if I hadn't wasted all that time in the first place. Quite stupid of me. Just hope the idea will work and I'll get a passing mark.

Now please allow me to enjoy some movies and a good night sleep, 'cause I really need it!

A complaint about ageing (again)

I'm finally home and enjoying it. My new bed is awesome and my room looks bigger and nicer because of it. I don't want to leave it ever again! ♥

Coming home means to me, beside doing nothing all day long and then, on Sunday evening, complaining I'm way behind with my projects, bumping into all sorts of old stuff. Well, on today's list, old photos. I had to back up some files from my latest photosessions on a hard disk and while they were copying I surfed a bit the old files to dust them. And so I got into my highschool folder, full of parties, school and sport events, trips, holidays & co. I haven't seen this pictures for over 2 or 3 years and I even forgot of some of those events captured in a few megapixels. I was instantly drawn into those memories, like in a black hole, and I couldn't escape until I journeyed to each and every one of them.

What stunned me was how young and full of life I was in those pictures. I had no signs of tiredness on my face, no bored expressions. I was photographing a lot (objects, landscapes, sometimes people and very often myself, trying unusual make-ups and clothes) with the compact camera I had back then, I was even drawing and writing at times. Looking at the images, I came to the conclusion I was more creative and hungry for new stuff then I am now (ironic, huh?). I also had a passion for watching movies just for the fun of it and I was never too tired to go to a party with my friends. Doing homework was more of an optional thing and it was obviously more fun to copy it before class.

I look at myself now and have no idea where did the old me disappear?! I'm studying a domain that requires creativity but I often feel it left me when I more needed it. I'm always tired, even if I get to sleep 8 hrs a night and that's easily read on my face and my mood. Going out after a day at University? It's getting rarelier. I usually crash on my bed too tired to even change my clothes, I hug my laptop and watch some series. Movies for the fun of it? Rarely, maybe when I dare to move my lazy ass to the cinema. I feel too stressed by the upcoming deadlines and that I don't live up to expectations (I wonder whose expectations?) and the irony is I don't even work as much as I should, I'm more of a complainer. I feel I'm getting old, I hate that I usually look tired and my hair gained a mind of its own in the last years (and he seems to have a different approach to things than I do), I hate I don't feel as happy as I did.

The sad thing is that I can't go back to that time. I have to manage a way to get back on track and feel as good as I felt then. The thing is I don't know HOW, at least yet. I know there are thousands of ways to make the things in your life work how they should, but I didn't find mine yet. I just hope to find it soon, I don't want to waste any more minutes of my youth.

Until then, ...I miss highschool!

True story!

Nutella mug cake

I recently stumbled into this recipe, fell in love with it and added it to my bookmarks, hoping to taste it as soon as possible.

Today, I finally did. The images show the results (and my favourite mug, of course). Changed a bit the recipe (thought that 4 tablespoons of sugar were too much, so added only 3; and the "self-rising flour" was actually improvised from 3 tablespoons of normal flour and a bit of baking powder).

Regarding the "baking" part, the microwave was set on level 2 and I put the future cake in for almost 2 minutes. After about 1 minute it started to grow bigger and bigger and right when I was afraid it will blow up, it started going back, just to begin rising again, and receding, and rising and.. you get the point. It was quite amusing and I let it in 1 more minute just for the fun of it. Too bad my camera can't video record.

Unfortunately, I had no whipping cream and no syrup, it would have been, probably, even better with them. I recommend it to be served with a glass of milk. And I also suggest adding morello-cherries in it - might be just a personal preference, but I think it would have been divine if it contained any.

In conclusion? A delicious chocolate mug-cake, ready in 10 minutes, but quite ..ugly, as you can see. :) Next time I'll pay attention at the looks, in order to get attractive images. :)

We get to points in our lives where some things seem to have never happened. Memories fade away, especially words. But with a bit of effort images, sounds, feelings (mostly feelings) can revive and feel so fresh again. Sometimes they look better than they were. Sometimes we think "Oh, but that wasn't SO bad, why was I making such a fuss of it?". Sometimes we even laugh of how fool we where a while ago. But sometimes we don't. Sometimes, this kind of things can grow us sad. Sometimes we're ashamed of certain things that happened to us. Sometimes we miss good old times and wish to relive them. Not necessarily to repeat them, but turn back in time and feel the very moments alive again.

Some of those things we try to leave way behind us, totally forget them if it's possible. Each time they pop up in our souls, we shut them down and hide them in the deepest and darkest of the corners. Because we don't want to get stuck in a cycle of old memories that will only stop us from looking towards the future. And again, there are sweet memories that we can't and don't want to forget. And I think the most beautiful thing of it is that each and every little of these memories are part of us, whether we love them or try to think they never happened.

I sometimes regret some things from my past. But then again, I get to the idea they made me who I am now, good or bad, so why regret it? Sounds clicheic, but I really relate to it. It makes me understand more about who I was, what have I become and what I would like to become.

I don't even know how I got to this point. I was melancholic for a short moment, began writing about how we try to make some of our memories disappear and then ... ran off the rails. :)) I guess it's because I'm extremely tired and longing for 'my' cosy temporary bed. And the upper right petit (I ♥ this word!) thumbnail looks like a bug when focusing on writing so I have a constant feeling that a horrible cockroach is climbing my laptop (I'm having a pest problem in my room so.. yeah, I'm developing a paranoia with these stupid bugs).

Oh well, I hope to come back with an interesting article soon. I quite miss blogging these days. Perhaps it'll pass :))

In the meanwhile, I'm curious what are your life biggest regrets?

After a long hot summer holiday (seeming so short now when looking back at it), I find myself realising that, again, only a very small part of what I planned came to life. It should have been a great holiday, but unfortunately I'm far of being content of it. Some things are not my fault, some are. Maybe next year I won't plan anything and it'll be way better. Hope so.

In terms of photography, none of the photosessions I had in mind took place, mostly because I was quite lazy and undecided. Thankfully, I had the beautiful occasion to have Madalina S. (upper image) as a model for a short session a few days ago. Didn't go as planned (do they ever?), but the results are nice. However, now I hope to have the time to finish choosing and editing the images.

Moving on to another subject, tomorrow I'm "signing" in for another long year at University, which I hope to bring me new entertaining things and achievements. If I manage to finish it decently, I'll be half way to graduation. I'm not sure I can hardly wait the moment, but neither I want it to take longer than expected. Anyway, let's not talk too much about it, who knows what the upcoming months will bring me?

Therefore, I leave you to admire the beautiful Madalina, while I'm heading towards Timisoara to face sleepless nights and whirly life. I hope to share new photos and news soon, so stay tuned. ♥

Trial Jam 2011, Oradea.

Hello everyone!

This morning took place the 9th edition of Trial Jam, in Oradea. It's a trial bike contest, with obstacles and routes, and it's open for amateurs as well. I won't go on talking about it because I'm quite a 'noob' in this domain (I only know how to ride a bike, no way of jumping with it and doing other cool stuff). Anyway, the thing is that I had no idea until yesterday that this type of events take place in my city as well; I just ran into a newspaper article and decided to go to see what it is about and try my luck in taking some photos.

Overall it was quite nice there. The area set for the event was too small and cramped in my opinion and the ongoing of the contest was quite chaotic. However, I'm really glad that events like this take place here as well and I wish them all the luck to evolve and turn them into great shows.

The days are colder and it smells like autumn all around. It's kind of depressing and melancholic to see this grey rainy weather taking over the beautiful warm sunny days of summer. It's all gone, it's over. We have to go back to our routine days, work and stress, things to accomplish.

I feel unhappy right now.

Corfu

Well, well :) After an extremely long and tiring road, I managed to get back home from the beautiful Greek island: Corfu. The weather was great, no strikes in our way, in fact, the greeks look so chill and calm, that you might not even think there's something wrong going on with their lovely country. Their calmness even became annoying from time to time. It makes me wonder if it's us the ones too hurried.

I'll try to make it quite short. We stayed in Acharavi, a nice small town in the northern part of the island, but it was a bit too silent for my taste. We discovered a great bar in the last night of our stay (what a shame): Harry's Bar, where you can spend an awesome time with your friends. They offer you different games, books, drinks from the house and the staff is nice and friendly. And I would also like to recommend The Pumphouse, the restaurant where we ate twice and I personally loved the food (Tsipoura - some fried local fish, very tasty but a bit expensive & Moussaka; picture only with the moussaka, unfortunately :( ). Small tip: Gyros is also very tasty but it's a bit too small for the price (~2euros). It was enough for me too feed my hunger, but the boys always complained :))

ATVs for 20 or 25 euros/day (12hrs), take them from Kostas, he's awesome :)) It's worth it to go visit the other northern towns, like Sidari (photos below), a place I fell in love with. You can jump from the rocks straight into the deep clear water and swim through a small cave (oh well, there are signs of NOT doing all of these, but everyone was doing it :)) ). The scapes are simply breathtaking and the town seemed to be so full of life, young people and various things to do at any hour. If I ever go back to Corfu, I'll definitely be staying in Sidari.

Btw, the greeks wake up quite late in the morning, so except supermarkets, agencies and car rentals, don't expect to find anything open before 10 o'clock. Night life begins sometime after 1 a.m. and funny fact, which I was proud of, is that everywhere they were playing Romanian artists' music :)) In clubs, in supermarkets, Inna and Smiley (+ many others) are quite popular. :))

Moving on, DON'T take optional trips from the agency. I was so upset about the guide that stayed with us there that I came home decided to tell everyone about her lack of professionalism. Now I think it's not worth it, so I'll just tell you to try and find local agencies, because they offer the same trips at a lower price. For example, the trip to Paxos/Antipaxos was 39 euros at our agency and we bought it with 26 from a local one. We had a great time, went in exactly the same places and most important, we got home safe and sound.

Paxos/Antipaxos is worth if you like sea cruises, because you'll spend a lot of time on the boat. They'll take you visit the Blue Caves (amazing!), let you swim near the boat somewhere near Antipaxos and finally you'll have about 3 hrs in Gaios, capital of Paxos, a small pretty town. We were lucky enough to even see dolphins swimming around our boat :)

I'll end my post with the visit to the capital of the island, Corfu Town. Unfortunately, we wanted to do it on our own, took a bus (3,60 euros) there and found out that the Achilleio Palace and Pontikonissi Island (main points of interest) are quite far to get to them by foot, so we just wandered a bit around the city and the fortresses and eventually went home.

All in all it was a great trip, the only minus was the road. I had to take the train to Bucharest (14hrs!) and after 10 hrs of waiting there, the bus to Corfu (18hrs).. so yea', it was pretty much tiring.

I recommend Corfu to everyone and don't hesitate to ask me for more info if you're interested in going there, I will gladly answer!

This one was quite a funny photosession. :) We woke up at 4 a.m., went to Romina for make-up, finished at around 5 and a half and right before leaving, it started raining. We decided to do it anyway, so we took an umbrella and launched for the session. Luckily, the rain stopped for a while, then it began again, stopped once more and so on. We managed to get some decent captures, I was quite content with the light as well, and when we went home, it started raining like hell, thank God I was in my bed at that moment. :)

I have "une petite" issue with my camera, I noticed that lately the photos are not as sharp as they used to, they look a bit unfocused. I'm not sure whether it's the camera, the lens or it's just me doing something wrong. Anyone been through this too?

Steps

Another year has passed, I made a step forward, I grew, I learned something. It's been another year with smiles, nerves, fulfilled desires and disappointments, another year full of events and expectations.

Things change and unfortunately we can not always remain the same, always in the same place, always at the same level, always the same and with the same people. Sometimes you have to take a last look back and go forward to something else, something new. What else? We don't know, but we will find out along the way. We will face new obstacles and we will laugh when we'll remember the old ones. We will make small steps, slowly but surely forward. Maybe we will make a small one back as well, we will stumble and stop, we will cry and grieve. But eventually we will rise again, we'll forget everything and we'll go on again. We'll leave behind the people who hurt us and we will go to those who want to be near us. We'll learn new things, we'll see new places, we'll meet new people, we'll acquire new successes and we'll dream, perhaps more than before. We'll fail, but we will recover our mistakes. We will be the same, but in upgraded version. :)

It's sad to take a last look back, it's sad to think that some things will not repeat themselves and will never be the same. But it's a cycle that repeats itself so many times, that's really incredible we didn't get used to the feeling. Or maybe that's the charm of it, how else would you feel that something has changed?

I am helping Mihaela with her lookbook profile. She loves fashion and needs photos, I need models who like to dress "fashionably", so it's a win-win situation :) This time we were quite hurried to do this photoshoot, it wasn't actually planned or so, she just changed a few outfits she badly wanted to have photos with. I wasn't very content with the results and I promised myself to avoid doing this again. Anyway, after I looked closely to the photos I found a few that are actually quite nice and so I shared them with you! :)

Well, this is from a quite older photosession, it had place the day after the one with the newspaper dress :) To be more exactly, on 22.05.2011 (I know the date cause' I'm obsessed with including them in the folders' names :) ). It was a lovely day (a bit too warm) and had a funny time while "destroying" someone's field (we are really really sorry, hope the wheat is just fine!) just to get some nice photos. Fun fact: on the other side of the road, we could see the cesspool in the distance :)) No worries, here it was all clean and silky!

The really funny moments were when the idea of doing some "running" photos popped up and I asked the model and my boyfriend (who was holding the reflector) to run. Of course we had to do it again over and over again to obtain some decent outcomes, cause' it was either hard to focus correctly, either the result was quite weird (and funny, hehe). I wasn't easy to run through that field, believe me! Or better ask the model, cause' I just watched :))

Anyway, I'm very content with the result and the one above is my favourite photo of the session. :) I'm currently working on them, so I hope to share more of them soon.

Lately I've been walking around the outskirts of Timisoara for a project and discovered so many things I had no idea about. In the area I had to visit I found a mixture of people of all types of nationalities and social classes. It was quite interesting to observe how they spend their free time, where they live. I also felt like 20 years ago while seeing children playing in front of their block of flats, elders playing backgammon with such enthusiasm like it's the last time they play it , youngsters chilling on the sides of Bega River, sunbathing, playing games, walking their dogs, rollerskating or simply talking and laughing. It really was an interesting experience; maybe I'll share more with you when I have enough time to do it :)

Day 3: Bratislava

The last days of our trip started in Bratislava. We arrived there the night before, found a hotel and went dirrectly to sleep as we were tired. So the next morning we took some time to admire the city and see what it has to offer. Again, I took a map from the hotel and tried to discover the city street by street. We walked around the historical centre, on one of the Danube's river sides and noticed some local attractions.

We didn't have time to visit the main castle but instead we visited the ruins of a castle 15 minutes away from the city. The Devin Castle was built on the cliffs, right where the Morava river flows into Danube. You have an amazing view from up there.

I liked Bratislava very much and overall, even though we were all the time on such a hurry, I really enjoyed the trip and now I find myself in a "travelling mood": I'm already thinking of a new destination :)

Day 2: Cracow + Auschwitz

First and only morning in Cracow started pretty early with breakfast at the hotel. Then, I had one more hour to go see a few things I had missed the other day (like the Main Square! I'm still not sure how I managed to miss it the other day, maybe because we were so hurried).

I took the map and firstly went to visit the synagogues from the Jewish district. I found myself in a quite suspicious and "deserted"area. Only a few people were on the streets and it was a pretty clouded and gloomy morning so I decided it was best to go to the Main Square. When I got there my hour had almost passed and my phone was not working anymore. I tried to call my father from a hotel to announce him I would be late but there was no signal so, to avoid any possible problems that might have arisen from this, I had to take a taxi to get back on time. It was quite fun to choose a taxi driver that might know some English only by looking at their faces :)) And I was lucky. ;)

At noon we set out for Auschwitz, which was our main point of interest from the very beginning of our trip. We visited only Auschwitz I - Birkenau ('cause we missed the other one, shame on us). It's the biggest concentration camp ever and it feels pretty terrifying to see it and walk around it. Some of the still standing barracks were open for visitors and you could see in what terrible conditions had the prisoners lived (if you can call that a living). Man, women, children, they were all brought there with goods trains and sorted out on the platform in two categories: uncapable of work - those were sent dirrectly to the crematoria - and capable of work - those were the ones that had their death "postponed". The only way to get out of that place was through the crematoria's chimney.. . At the entrance of Auschwitz II is ironically stated "Arbeit Macht Frei" as in "work makes you free". I guess that "free" was the Nazists' metaphor for "death".

I've read the guide and learnt a lot about all that happened there, the cruelty that marked that place is unbelievable.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to take as good photos as I wanted because of the great amount of visitors at that moment, so you'll have to enjoy what I've got. :)

Day 1: Cracow

After a long and tiresome road, we arrived at about 5-6 o'clock in Cracow. The GPS directed us right in the middle centre of the city at some hotels. However, they didn't have any parking, nor the other hotels in the centre so we left to find something around the outskirts. First impression: I didn't actually like it. Although the buildings and the streets look great, the people didn't look trustworthy.

Anyway, we found a hotel at 15 mins far from the centre (with parking!) and we checked-in. We left our luggage and went walking around the city with a street map in my hands (I love doing that - discovering a city by walking). It was a pretty hurried walk as in 2 hours it was going to get dark outside and we wanted to be back at the hotel by then. I've seen a little bit of Cracow, less than I wanted, but I hope one day I'll have the chance to go back and spend more days around it :) Oh, and yes, my opinion has changed a lot. I pretty much like it now, it is full of life and the people are so nonconformist there. Nobody cares how you dress, act, you can be who you want to be without others pointing at you.

Funny thing about this bridge. At first I thought it's ugly and didn't want to cross it, but then I had to and found these padlocks on it. I loved them!!!

:) Such a cliche this title, isn't it? You probably already bumped in similar articles a hundred times before and find them boring/unuseful/redundant... However, I am too happy to not write about this. :)

I finally got accepted on Shutterstock. It's the fifth time I'm trying to get accepted on their site and I finally managed it. I'm in. And I have already sold one photo for $0.25. I've been for a while on Dreamstime, Fotolia and Bigstock and had some sales, but I was aiming for something bigger. Aaand here I am :)

Well, before getting in, I surfed through various sites looking for good pieces of advice to get in easier. Now I can only agree with what others said. In order to successfully become a contributor on Shutterstock, your photos have to be of very good quality and very sharp. No shaken shots, no out of focus areas. Zoom in and check every pixel of the image. Many times my photos got rejected for this reason. Moreover, pay attention to the lighting and composition. A, no fringing!

If you spot any possible reason for rejection in your image, do not upload it. As many others said before me, if you find some issue in your photo, be sure the reviewers will spot it as well. Last but not least, try to find subjects that could sell well and DO NOT send more than 2 or 3 pictures of the same subject at once. Look through the best sold images on their site to see what they're looking for. For me, it was harder to get in because I had only portraiture and those sites are stuffed with portraits. It has to be really good to be accepted.

Well, these are the first basic things that came to my mind. Of course, there are so many others and you can read more on their site about what they want to see, their dos and donts.

However, don't forget that you also need a bit of luck. It depends very much on the reviewer that looks through your uploads. It happened to me to have pictures rejected that were accepted before. Even now, they rejected one of the photos that was accepted 2 times before.

Sometimes it all feels blurry.. like an out of focus photo when taken in a hurry, on manual focus. You tried to focus it, failed, and the result is.. well, how does it feel? Sometimes it is awful, but other times it actually looks pretty good, gives you a good feeling. It's all about the composition, the colours, the lighting..

Why do stuff change? Why do people change? Why do they come and go? There's so many "why"s that will never find their answers. You will always just keep wondering. And wondering. And still wondering from time to time. And still don't understand. Waiting for an answer that will never come. Cause it's all done. You move on. You MOVED on. Sometimes still wondering. Occasionally. Probably. Maybe.

So how does it feel now? How's your blurry picture?

The 2nd day after the last photoshoot, I stepped again in front of the camera, this time for a new friend of mine who is as well a photographer. We had a really fun time in some.. weird and deserted places, I got to see the interior of a railway engine (well, at least what was left of it) and switched the points. Hehe :) I have some new ideas for photos in this places but I'm not sure when I'll be able to do them, as long as my holiday is almost over and I'm going back to Uni. Oh well, we'll live and see.

Gone with the wind

Yesterday I finished reading "Gone with the wind" by Margaret Mitchell and watched the movie after. To cut the long story short, I think the movie is pretty good, regarding the fact that usually movies made after books don't rise up to the expectations. However, some characters are missing (for example Will Benteen or Scarlett's first two kids) and some scenes as well, or they're changed in order to match and make everything fit ~4 hours. I'm sure it wasn't an easy job so I'll not complain anymore about this thing. Ah, I have to add that I didn't like India (Alicia Rhett)'s acting AT ALL and even Ashley (Leslie Howard) had some ..annoying moments.

Well, all in all it was a nice movie, however I liked the book way more and I certainly recommend it. It's pretty much captivating, I actually read the last 150-200 pages in a few hours, curious to find out the ending (I think it's the first time I managed to stop myself from reading the last page and spoil the mistery :">).

"I won't think about this now, I'll think about it later!"

Nerve-racking with Windows 7

Lucky me, last night my notebook felt like showing me the "black screen of death", after I was away from it for about half an hour. I could still see the mouse icon, but do nothing. Looked up the internet, found this was a common issue, did everything possible to make it work but without any success, so, unfortunately, this evening I ended up reinstalling Win.

Luckily, I didn't lose all the pictures I had on my hard disk, but I still have to reinstall every little application. Aaargh! Well, could've been worse.

Aaa, btw. If anyone of you wants to avoid getting stuck with the same problem, check up your notebook manufacturer's site for driver updates. Might work! I just found a new update for bios (for my model of notebook) while re-downloading and re-installing drivers, that seems to solve some system issues, probably similar with my recent. I installed it, just in case. :) Look up the internet to find out more if you're interested. Who knows when you need them :)

Well, back to re-updating :)

Ok, am o mica problema.

Demult, in vremuri deja apuse, cand scriam intens pe aici, m-am plans (nu o data) ca memoria mea lasa de dorit. Si in aceste vremuri imi notam orice mica chichitza pe o hartie la indemana. Apoi am evoluat la carnetel/caiet/agenda/alt articol de papetarie, ulterior am ajuns la telefon. Si cand telefonul meu a inceput sa geama sub greutatea mesajelor tip ciorna pline cu prostii "de-neuitat", a aparut in viata mea Windows 7, care ofera super optiunea "Sticky notes". Bun. La inceput am luat-o usor, sa nu abuzez de noua perspectiva ce mi se deschidea. Apoi, mi-am scris o chestie simpatica, sa fie mereu pornita pe desktop ca sa ma inveseleasca. Un pas a fost de la a da click-uri pe "+" si a adauga chestii pe care sa nu le uit.

In momentul de fata desktopul meu e plin de sticky notes idioate, am ajuns chiar sa scriu ideile pentru un proiect la engleza intr-un astfel de note. Pe langa multe altele, bineinteles. Ma si mir ca n-am facut "new year resolutions" pe un sticky note (damn, de ce nu mi-a venit mai rapid?).

Problema cea mai mare e ca ele ar disparea treptat daca as si indeplini tot ce am scris acolo. Doar ca.. multe sunt idei gen "las', ca cine stie cand o sa fac asta, numa' sa nu uit". It will probably never happen. Dar nu le pot sterge, pe ideea "si daca totusi.."!!!

Sunt dependenta de sticky notes.

.. is a new beginning :) Or so they say.

Dupa vreme indelungata, iata-ma si pe mine incercand sa mai astern cateva randuri si aici, macar asa, de final de an 2010. De ce nu mai scriu? Buna intrebare. Lipsa de timp, lene sau pur si simplu am depasit faza de blogareala? Nu stiu nici eu exact :) Nici nu prea conteaza.

Asa. Despre 2010 pot sa spun ca pentru mine a fost un an relativ bun. Eh, a fost chiar bun. Nu as zice al naibii de bun, totusi :) Am terminat anul I integralista, cu o medie onorabila, desi daca ma uit acum in urma la cat si la cum am muncit, puteam sa fac totul mult, mult mai bine. Semestrul asta am fost mai constiincioasa, sa stiti, dar inca nu sunt complet multumita. :) Tot mai trebuie sa lucrez la partea cu superficialitatea. Deh, fiecare cu defectele lui. Pana acum, anul 2 imi place mult mai mult ca primul si sper sa o tina tot asa.

Am fost la mare. Iar, de 2 ori, ceea ce pentru mine e absolut minunat. Din pacate, m-a dezamagit profund litoralul romanesc si nu am nici cea mai mica intentie sa mai dau prea curand pe acolo. Cel putin, nu in Costinesti.

Am mai avansat si cu pozele, am mai tras cate un "photoshoot" pe ici, pe colo, eu una sunt tot mai multumita pe.. poza ce trece :))

M-am convins ca a avea timp liber e ceva total relativ. Altfel apreciezi si te bucuri de momentele respective cand ai mult de munca, decat in vacante. De cand am venit acasa am vegetat toata ziua si nu am facut nici jumatate din cate visam si planuiam ca o sa fac in vacanta (in "timpul liber"). Nu stiu, trebuie sa fac ceva sa ma mobilizez, ca nu se mai poate asa!

In rest, tout est bon. Nu stiu daca am scris corect, nu am mai dat-o pe franceza din a 12-a. Si eu care vreau sa plec in Franta :)) Shame on me.

Mi-am facut un "bucket list" pt 2011, care e neasteptat de scurt fata de cel de anu' trecut. Probabil o sa mai adaug in urmatoarele zile unele chestii. Nu cred ca are sens sa il public aici, oricum nu e nimic spectaculos :)

A, apropo. Ninge ceva de vis. E asa de frumos afara! Scoateti-va nasurile la bulgareala si nu mai lanceziti in fata monitoarelor! I did it today, deci eu am voie :)

Va urez un an nou genial si tot ce va doriti sa se implineasca :) >:D<

Te lovesti uneori de lucruri care, cel putin pe moment, te fac sa iti regandesti felul de a privi viata si oamenii din jurul tau. Iti dai seama cat de efemer e totul, cum intr-o simpla secunda poti pierde orice sau pe oricine. Te intrebi iar si iar ce sens au toate lucrurile din viata ta; pentru ce te nasti si de ce mori; de ce uneori ceea ce se intampla e pur si simplu unfair; daca exista destin, karma, mai stiu eu ce, care sunt adevaratele valori pe care le ai in viata si care ar trebui, de fapt, sa fie; cum stii care sunt oamenii demni de increderea ta; de ce simti anumite lucruri fara sa vrei; de ce sunt atatea lucruri inexplicabile, bla bla ? Si probabil la niciuna din intrebarile astea nu vei gasi un raspuns multumitor.

Nu stiu de ce nu mai scriu. Adica na, nu mai am chef, drept sa spun. Nu chiar deloc, doar ca tot mai rar. Drept ii ca a inceput si faculta si mai tre' sa ma ocup si de alte chestii mai importante, iar in ultimele zile nu am facut decat sa editez poze in timpul liber (si sa ma uit la seriale, but shush :)) ). Mai am de selectat din pozele din Muntenegru si sper sa reusesc sa fac asta cat mai curand. Poate si sa arunc vreo doua vorbe despre cum am petrecut pe acolo.

Asaaa. Am vrut sa ma apuc sa invat germana, chiar m-am apucat pe bune acum 5 minute cu un curs online, dar in 30 de secunde m-am simtit depasita de situatie si am lasat-o balta pentru moment :))

Si vreau sa plec in Franta. Sau in Austria. 8-> Ar fi eeeepiiic. Abia astept :D

I was looking through photos and thinking 'bout old stuff (that's what I do when I get bored in the middle of the night.. arrgghh!) and I'm wondering.. why does it feel so bad to lose old friends? Why, when you have all the new & cool people around you? All those people that might become your new good friends.. Why, when so much time has passed and you know it so well that people do eventually change. Not over the night, not unexpectedly, but over the years, regarding certain situations or other people's influence. When you know that meeting again and talking would bring up so many differences between you, so many missing pieces of the puzzle.

Some are far away, some are next to you, but somehow you've lost contact with many of them. Where are the old plans of "forever lasting friendship"? Naive, I know, but I wished for at least keeping in touch from time to time..

Am promis de ieri un part II al aventurii prin tara. Sa purcedem.

The Beer Guy. Prima persoana cu care am avut contact in tren, cand am urcat la Oradea. Statea fix in fata mea. N-o sa intru in detalii inutile, oricum ar fi multe de zis. Tipul era funny per ansamblu, dar ceea ce i-a dat numele a fost faptul ca a baut 8 beri intre Oradea si Brasov, unde a coborat. Si nu a inceput la Oradea, asa sa stiti! Bere, dupa bere, dupa bere, incat inainte sa coboare deja vorbea pe langa.

The Ice Guy. Asta statea fix langa Beer Guy. La inceput, n-am vorbit nimic cu el. Tipu', singur, plictisindu-se, a scos la un moment dat o punga, din ea mohair, andrele si a inceput sa.. croseteze. Yup. (Am aflat ulterior ca invatase asta de pe the mighty YouTube). Ok, nu am ras, nu nimic, dar recunosc ca mi s-a parut amuzant. In fine, dupa un timp a intrat Beer Guy in vorba cu el (fest avea chef de vorba), am mai tras si noi cu urechea si pana la urma s-au incins discutii pe cinste cu tipu'. Care era din.. Islanda. La un moment dat chiar ne-am straduit sa il invatam sa joace cruce. Si daca la inceput ne bagam unu' peste altu', incercand sa-i explicam ce e aia tromf si ce inseamna sa anunti, mai mult incurcandu-l, pe final tipu' chiar invatase sa joace bine, mai ca nu ne kickuia assurile. The Thief Guy. Nu vreti sa va povestesc cum am reusit ca, prin dorinta de a fi binevoitoare, am lasat 2 pustani sa scape cu un portofel, trecand prin tren, intr-o gara. Eu inca sper ca ei se grabeau sa prinda un tren de pe alta linie..

The Naked Guy. Un tip caruia i-a luat un val pantalonii. Si care apoi facea sarituri in fundul gol. Mai mult n-am vazut, dar mi s-a povestit..

The Bored Guy. Asta e domnisoara care a castigat premiul pentru cea mai plictisita persoana din White Horse. Ne-am dus si noi in prima sau a 2-a seara, am gasit o singura masa libera, langa boxe, iar la masa alaturata stateau 2 fete si un baiat. Pustani. 16 ani sa fi avut. Cum de altfel avea 90% din populatia localului. Ei, astia 3 nu-si spuneau nimic, stateau si se chiorau unu' la altu' ca mulele. Si tipa care a luat premiu, era geniala. Peretii erau mult mai interesanti decat partenerii de la masa..

Despre mare si alte nebunii

Na, iaca-ma acasa, dupa o aventura prin tara noastra draga. In sfarsit am si eu nitel timp sa recuperez cu tot ce am ramas in urma online (si nu numai). Imi pica ochii de somn, dar tragem un articol pe blog pana se dezarhiveaza pozele :))

Dupa cum ma laudam/plangeam intr-un post anterior, m-am urcat in tren si am luat-o catre mare. Cu un popas de 2 zile in Braila, unde mi-am dat seama cat de mult am crescut eu si cat de putin s-a schimbat orasul. De fapt, asta nu e tocmai un lucru bun. Practic nu a evoluat deloc. Orasul ala parca a stagnat intr-un timp trecut, m-am simtit ca pe vremea cand eram in scutece (nu ca as stii exact cum ma simteam atunci, e doar ideea de mult timp). Ca pe vremea cand stergeam trotuarele cu pantalonii si ma ascundeam in crapaturile dintre blocuri la "de-a v-ati ascunselea" (asa se scrie?!). Ma rog, eu oricum m-am simtit bine acolo.

De acolo, hop la mare. Care mare, la Costinesti, e .. patetica. Dezastru. Nu ca ar avea marea vreo vina, vina e a poporului, a dobitocilor infecti care isi lasa gunoaiele unde le vine si se poarta ca animalele. Plaja e plina ochi de muci (mucuri, mucuri) de tigara, pahare de plastic, doze de bere, ambalaje si am gasit inclusiv cioburi de sticle de bere. In 15-20 de minute de plictiseala si moment eco am umplut 3 pahare mari de bere cu chistoace, doar din jurul cearceafurilor noastre.

In apa ma simteam ca la strandu' municipal. O inghesuiala de nu puteai inota un m in jur. De la atata tropait in apa, se rascoleau si algele depuse pe fund. Sa nu zic cand te mai trezeai cu cate o eticheta de Dorna pe mana.

Pe plaja, prosop la prosop. Dimineata la 7 era genial. Putini oameni, apa limpede, era o adevarata placere sa inoti tu de unul singur cufundat in meditatie. Pe la 10 deja nu mai aveai loc langa mal. Intre 12 si 16, cand cica e mai puternic soarele, era cel mai plin. Noi plecam, grosu' populatiei atunci venea.

Copii prost crescuti care se joaca in nisip si ajung la tine pe cearsaf. Sau poate doar parinti indolenti?

Kiss Fm la MAXIM pe plaja. Nu ca as avea eu ceva cu ei, da' cand asculti de 100 de ori pe zi aceleasi 10-15 melodii, dintre care vreo 9 suna exact la fel, ti se acreste.

Cosurile de gunoi pe strada = gurile de canal. Preturi infect de mari la alimente. In schimb, chilotii, bluzele, rochiile, alte cele, 4 la 10 lei!

Am descoperit un loc misto, aproape de Hotel Forum. Nu mai fusesem acolo pana atunci si mi-a placut mult. E malul abrupt si stancos. Genial, genial. Pacat ca si acolo a ajuns mizeria lasata de oameni.

Per total a fost OK. Vila foarte curata, proprietarii draguti. Vila Oana, tineti minte daca mergeti la Costinesti! :) Nu sunt foarte eager sa revin in statiune.

A, da. Aseara am ajuns de la mare (s-a stricat locomotiva fix in ALESD. In ALESD!!! La jumate de ora de casa!!! ~X( - macar am avut timp berechet sa termin Lorelei (super faina de la jumate incolo) si sa si incep Shogun :)) ). Si azi dimineata am fost in Timisoara, dupa un somn de cateva ore. Groaznic pe tren. Nu-mai-pot.

Aici se incheie rezumatul excursiei mele. Probabil am uitat o gramada de lucruri, da' who cares? Maine part II: The guys. Stay tuned!

Am tot evitat sa scriu pentru ca imi place tare tare mult ultima poza care am uploadat-o pe blog si vroiam sa sara cat mai mult timp in ochii celor care intra pe aici. Daca as fi reusit sa ma abtin, poate ca nu as mai fi scris niciodata! :)) Oricum, o gasiti aici: Wiener Riesenrad si pe facebook. Sa dati like daca va place! :":; Ma gandesc foarte serios sa mi-o si printez.

Trecand mai departe, azi noapte pe la 2, 2 si ceva s-a creat o extorsiune a unui degajament al unei constructii de.. intr-o apa.. de fapt, imi faceam unghiile. Da, la 2 noaptea. Ca nu puteam dormi. Unu' la mana, e MULT PREA CALD. Doi la mana, ma trezesc la ore penibile in miezu' zilei, deci nu vad cum as putea, oricum, sa adorm la o ora decenta. Nah, si ma plictisesc noaptea sa ma tot uit pe pereti. A, apropo. M-am apucat sa ma cultiv. Cam tarzior. Cum am depasit de ceva vreme perioada lui Harry Potter si mai recenta febra Chic, am trecut la chestii mai serioase, literatura universala, si din alea. Am inceput cu Dostoievski, "Crime and Punishment". Am citit-o in engleza, ceea ce a ingreunat destul de mult lectura. Mi-a luat vreo 2 sau 3 luni sa o termin. Ma scuz ca era si plina sesiune :)) Dar cartea e faina si chiar mi-a placut felul in care descrie si analizeaza evolutia personajului. Am trecut apoi la "Cei trei muschetari", Alexandre Dumas. Alta carte foarte misto, nu m-asteptam sa-mi placa asa mult de la primele pagini. Am facut apoi o mica pauza si am citit o carticica interesanta destinata, cica, fanilor Harry Potter, "Puteri periculoase" se numeste dar imi scapa numele autorului. Acu' is calare pe "Robin Hood", de Henry Gilbert. La inceput am fost al naibii de dezamagita cand am vazut ca nu pusca nimic cu filmu'. Si asa de mult imi placuse.. . Dar am trecut deja de jumatatea cartii si m-a captivat. Urmeaza pe lista "Lorelei" de Ionel Teodoreanu. Si sa vad ce mai gasesc prin biblioteca, pentru ca ma asteapta muuuulte ore pe tren.

A, da. Abia astept sa pun picioru' pe litoral romanesc. O sa fie epic sa admiri marea intinsa pana dupa orizont, sa asculti valurile cum freamata si se sparg, sa inspiri mirosul specific, sarat, sa simti nisipul inscoicat (cu bucati de scoici adica :)) ) cum te zgarie placut in talpa si sa auzi un cretin cum urla undeva in apropiere: "Ba ****, hai in apa ca-i ******!!!". Presimt ca o sa am ce scrie pe blog la intoarcere! :))

Si nu in ultimul rand, mi-as schimba si eu un piculet aspectu' blogului. M-am cam plictisit de 2 coloane pe dreapta, e prea incarcat. Nici nu stiu la ce sa renunt, ce-i drept. Si mi-e o lene sa ma apuc sa caut tot tema asta dar cu o singura coloana si sa imi bag iar toate codurile si prostiile care le am pe aici.. incat cred ca o sa-l las tot asa.

Criza, dom'le!

Iti faci tot anul planuri pentru vacanta de vara. Visezi la plaje curate din tari exotice si la oameni frumosi si educati de pe meleaguri straine. Faci calcule, pui bani deoparte. Vine vara si esti tot mai sigur pe tine ca anul asta o sa ai o vacanta epica alaturi de prieteni. Doar ca plaja exotica curata se transforma treptat intr-o plaja plina de chistoace de pe tarmul romanesc al Marii Negre. Pentru ca, desi nu merita nici putinii bani, e cea mai ieftina varianta. Te gandesti ca in felul asta iti mai raman niste banuti deoparte sa iti mai iei si tu ceva dragut sau poate sa mai faci o mica excursie ulterior. Si te consolezi gandindu-te ca, oricum, la noi la mare te distrezi cel mai bine, nu? Si un drum cu autocarul sau cu masina nu se compara cu atat de ieftinul tren! Deci e stabilit, da? Faci rezervare la o vila cat de cat decenta dar si ieftina. Te luminezi la fiecare gand ca, peste 2 saptamani, o sa te balacesti in mare.

Ce mai conteaza ca n-o sa te poti plimba descult pe strazi din cauza jegului? Sau ca o sa auzi oameni injurand la fiecare pas? Sau pitzipoance si cocalari afisandu-se cat mai pompos pe plaja? Sau ca strazile din apropierea plajei or sa te inunde cu mirosuri grele de fast food? Sau ca poate nici nu vei avea loc sa iti intinzi prosopelul de aglomeratie? Sau ca zonele cele mai retrase si linistite de plaja duhnesc a alge putrezite si gem de flacoane si deseuri aruncate?

Nu mai conteaza toate astea, pentru ca tu o sa te distrezi oricum. O sa vezi marea nesfarsita si asta o sa stearga toate celelalte aspecte negative. Restul nu va mai conta. Si, pentru ca ai ales cea mai ieftina varianta dpdv al pretului, o sa iti mai ramana destui bani pentru alte chestii.

Atunci apar momentele alea deprimante. Cand te pui si iti numeri economiile de pe tot anul si iti dai seama ca, la urma urmei, abia iti ajung sa iti achiti excursia. Senzatia aia ca ai fi strans zeci de milioane se evapora subit. Si atunci, ca tot studentul roman al zilelor noastre, ataci stashul secret de maruntis de 10 si 50 de bani.. poate, poate se aduna cateva zeci de lei ;)

Sunt in Vienaaa! Mama, deci e genial orasu' asta, imi place la nebunie! M-am indragostit de el de cum am pus picioru' pe prima straduta!

Azi am batut zona centrala unde e Hofburgu' si toate alea, m-am plictisit admirand vase de portelan si argint, am tras vreo suta de snapshoturi, grabindu-ma sa nu fiu calcata in mijlocul strazii si sa nu scap harta intre timp, am jinduit la magazinele scumpe de pe strada aia mare pietonala (ceva cu Kartner.. Kartnerstrasse?) si am marcat pe harta Starbucksul. In care, shame on me, nu am apucat sa intru.

Atata lumeee, de atatea natiiiii! Ce-as mai fi vrut sa scot tele-u' si sa ma postez la o terasa sau langa o statuie si sa pozez lumea.

Asa. Pai, back to checking google maps sa vedem cum ajungem maine la Schonbrunn si Prater si mai am in plan ceva muzee si locuri interesante, sper sa le apuc pe toate.

Deja ma gandesc serios sa ma apuc sa invat germana si sa ma mut aici :)))

Gosh, deci am iesit asta seara pana in centru, la o terasa-ceainarie. It was cool and all but am ramas uimita de cat de pustiu e orasu'. Ceva tineret prin centru (majoritatea pustani de 15-16 ani, emo sau coca styles mainly), care pe la 12 a inceput sa se risipeasca, in rest GOL. Pustiu. Nema. Mai vedeai cate-un om ici colo, grabit catre casa, cine stie. Stiti cat de freaky sunt strazile Oradiei noaptea? Sunt pustii si destul de prost luminate, mai ales cand ajungi in zonele dintre blocuri unde e bezna totala. Macar de ai vedea lumini aprinse pe la apartamente, dar nu. Si e o liniste din aia de iti ridica paru' de pe ceafa. Nu ca in Timisoara parcurile ar sta mai bine, but still. Macar intre complex si Unirii nu am de mers pe stradute obscure aflate in bezna totala.

Siii! Azi am condus prin oras. A fost al naibii de placut sa merg cu geamurile deschise si sa prind verde la (aproape) toate semafoarele. La parcari mi-am iesit din mana si inca ma enervez daca ala din fata mea opreste fara un motiv intemeiat. Sau daca cel din fata lui il determina sa opreasca dintr-un motiv cretin si astfel si eu sunt obligata sa franez. Sau daca cel din fata celui din fata celui din fata mea.. ati prins ideea. Nu-mi place sa ma intrerupa un idiot care vrea sa schimbe banda sau mai stiu eu ce in timp ce masina toarce frumos si merge constant. A, da, inca ma enervez daca am in spate un dobitoc care ma claxoneaza pentru ca am oprit la o trecere de pietoni unde, ce sa vezi! Se afla un pieton in curs de traversare. In fata mea, nu la 2 km. Dar l-am facut bou si apoi mi-am spus ca mai nou sunt zen (:))) si nu merita sa-mi fac nervi pentru oameni care nu conteaza.

Maine imi cumpar ochelari de soare

Sometimes, at night, when I find myself struggling to fall asleep, I turn back time. I get out of bed, turn on the pc and start listening to music. My Winamp list is the same since.. since 2003. The year I got the computer. Yes, he's that old and it's a pleasant surprise to know it's still working.

And so I find myself in the summer of 2003 with my freshly new pc and limited access to the internet. The most important thing at that time is to come home from school and go online chatting with my friends and meeting new people. Everyone had to know we're going out, so we used to talk about our meetings on public channels. We used to spend time at a friend's home, talk about "relationship" issues, boys, school, usual stuff for that age. It's the year I fell in love (love as in terms for a 13-year-old) not for the first time in my life, but for the first time with a person I barely saw and with whom I got to know by talking on the internet like.. everyday. Of course that nothing real came up from this, but it's good to know I did make a good friend with whom I still talk from time to time about anything.

Moving on, it's 2004 and I'm going out with some guy. Again, teenage stuff, nothing meant to last more than a few weeks, maybe months. This year I am a Cassa Loco fan and I go biking a LOT :)) Vand fan, vand fan.

2005, the year I got into highschool. Pretty important moment in my life, I got into the desired highschool, in the desired class. Getting to know my new colleagues, going out. Still a child, I was laughing my ass off with my deskmate while drawing chickens and hens in different positions :)) Good times, good times.

Seems like every year there's at least one boy I have a passion for. 2006 makes no exception. As far as I remember it is also the year I got really really drunk for the first time, at the wine festival :)) Hihihi. Funny memories.

Well, well. 2007. Falling in love (so, really now, what's love?!) AGAIN. Which seems to be lasting. Maybe this time it is for real. At least, so it seems. You know, I like to think that 7 is my lucky number. So turning 17 years old was pretty important for me as I was thinking that'll be the best year of my life. Wasn't that bad :)) It's also the last year I went to Braila. Don't ask why, I don't have a strong enough reason.

2008. The year I got my driver's license. The year I turned 18. The year most of my friends turned 18. The year I partied and got drunk the most. The year I went to the seaside for 2 times in the same summer holiday. The year I was still thinking I'm going to any other college than Architecture :D

And here we are in 2009, the freshest-passed (?!) year. A year which began with a fucked up B at CAE (one point far from A, ONE!!!). The year I decided to go to Architecture. The year I actually got into this University. The year I began sharing my room with other 5 souls. The year I moved to Timisoara. I've still been drunk for some times this year. Prom. Last 18 party in our class. Other.. moments. 2009 is the year I felt both the most confident and unsure on myself and my feelings. I felt again in love (?!) and my life was like a rollercoaster for a while. To be honest, I felt pretty much alive back then, even though I made some mistakes. But it's normal, cause we're humans. And I'm also special. :))

2010 brought some nice stuff, until present. Finished the first year of university pretty decent. And, oh well. I turned 20. Which should make me feel goddamn young and alive, but it doesn't. Makes me feel old and pathetic for thinking I'm old. And I also feel like a stupid teenager. I should be getting mature, but I am acting like a child. I seem to not yet realise that any time now I am going to get face to face with the real life and I'll have to take some mature decisions. Anyway, I'm working on getting back my positive thinking and being zen! :)) I'm young, what the hell? I do have a lot of time to do more stuff of what young people our days do. For example.. get drunk! And.. dance! And travel! And.. get drunk again? :))) Justin Timberlake ft. Timbaland - Carry out.

Looking back at all this years, I regret almost nothing. It wouldn't be worth it anyway, I cannot change the past :)

So here I am now, at the present moment. 3 o'clock in the night, can't sleep, finished a book and willing to begin reading the next one. I recommend you Crime and Punishment - Fyodor Dostoyevsky and Istoria Iubirii - Nicole Krauss.

Excuse my English, I haven't written anything this long and complex in English since.. well, it's been a long time :))

Incet, incet, mai mult sau mai putin involuntar, bloguletul asta a devenit un fel de photoblog combinat cu texte scurte, aruncate si, din cand in cand, cate un articol mai .. consistent. Tot mai rar, ce-i drept. Cred ca pur si simplu am depasit faza aia de la inceput, de cand mi-am facut cont aici, cand scriam de dragul de a scrie despre toate prostiile care mi se intamplau zi de zi.

Drept e ca nici nu mai petrec atat de mult timp in fata calculatorului, ceea ce ma bucura tare mult. Mi-a prins bine un an fara pc la dispozitia mea 24 din 24. Acum am ajuns sa nici nu mai am stare in fata monitorului. Chiar daca ma plictisesc, prefer sa stau in pat. Sau ma uit la un film. Ideea e ca nu mai admir un desktop (cu un wallpaper misto, ce-i drept :)) ) plin de iconite toata ziua buna ziua. Si m-am dezobisnuit si de statul pe net nocturn (cred ca mai corect ar fi.. matinal). Prefer sa ma trezesc mai devreme, dar la asta inca lucrez :))

Ma bucur ca lumea inca mai intra, mai lasa cate un comment. Feels good, you know? Knowing there are people that actually read all the crappy stuff you write. Mai verific si eu stat-urile din cand in cand, sa ma simt mandra.

Nu, nu e un post prin care anunt ca imi inchid blogul. E doar un post in care ..punctez niste lucruri evidente :)) O sa public mai mult poze aici, cate un anunt legat de vreun proiect personal sau mai stiu eu ce si, poate, din cand in cand cate un articol despre faculta, despre vreo calatorie, despre vreo amintire placuta care-mi rasare-n minte, despre ... despre toate lucrurile cu care v-am obisnuit deja ;))

Asa ca, sper ca toti astia care apareti in stat-uri sa continuati sa mai aruncati cate o privire pe aici :) >:D<
